Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

High river levels over the next two days may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on 24/02/2026 while groundwater and river levels remain elevated. Minor impact flooding may continue to affect roads through East Meon, West Meon including Lynch Lane, Shoe Lane and Church Lane, Exton and Bucks Head Hill at Meonstoke. The river may flood gardens and the Millennium Water Meadows at Wickham. River levels remain elevated but are slowly falling. From Monday (23/02/2026) to Wednesday (25/02/2026), virtually no rain is forecast, giving the river a chance to recover. Further rainfall is forecast on Thursday & Friday (26/02/2026 & 27/02/2026), if this affects the river then river levels may rise again. We are closely monitoring the situation and will ensure the river is kept free of reported blockages. This message will be updated by 18:00 on 25/02/2026 .
