The River Adur is high, following Thursday's rain, but has fallen significantly from the peak and still slowly falling. Minor flood impacts will continue to ease through Friday at Slaughter Bridge on the Coolham road, as well as isolated farm buildings, and rural roads between Coolham and Henfield. Flood water will remain in fields and gardens. A Flood Alert remains in force to inform of minor flood impacts. Very little rain is forecast for the next five days. The river should return nearer to normal by Saturday 06/01/2024. Some roads, including the Coolham road at Slaughter Bridge, may still be affected by flood water, please plan to avoid driving through routes vulnerable to flooding. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. We will re issue this Flood Warning if the risk of property flooding increases.
