Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have risen along the River Colne in response to this weekend’s heavy rainfall. We are aware of reports of flooding in the West Drayton Area, specifically along Thorney Mill Road. We have incident response staff in the area working alongside London Fire Brigade.
Further light rainfall is forecast this evening, but river levels are expected to start falling. Flooding to low lying land and roads is still expected and the risk of properties along Thorney Mill Road is expected to remain.
Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings.
We will be closely monitoring the situation.
This message will be updated this evening, Sunday 4th October, or as the situation changes.
