Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are falling but remain high at the Ross-On-Wye and Lydbrook river gauges following heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland continues. We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in and around Lydbrook. The B4234 at Lower Lydbrook is affected.
Observed peaks:
Ross on Wye 4.66m at 06:00 on Tuesday, 26/11/24.
Lydbrook 6.43m at 04:00 on Tuesday, 26/11/24,
No further significant rainfall is expected over the next 48 hours, but showers are possible. We expect river levels to remain high for several days.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
