Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the Ross-On-Wye river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected Sunday overnight, 08/12/24 and into Monday morning, 09/12/24. We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in and around Lydbrook. Predicted peaks:- Lydbrook 5.7m to 6.3m Monday morning, 09/12/24, Ross on Wye 4.3m to 4.8m Monday morning, 09/12/24.
No further significant rainfall is forecast. We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and Local Authorities.
Please move possession and valuables off the ground or to safety.
