Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the Ross-on-Wye and Lydbrook river gauges as a result of heavy rainfall and snowmelt. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is expected this afternoon 07/01/25. We expect flooding to affect areas in and around Lydbrook. The B4234 at Lower Lydbrook and Ferrie lane at Lydbrook are affected.
Predicted peaks:-
Ross on Wye 4.4m to 4.6m on Tuesday afternoon, 07/01/25.
Lydbrook 5.6m to 6.1m on Tuesday night, 07/01/25.
No significant rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours.
We expect river levels to remain high for the next few days.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and Local Authorities.
Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
