Flooding expected. Take action now.
Water levels in Saltmoor and Northmoor remain high today, Wednesday 18 February. The Northmoor Main Drain Remote is 4.12m and is falling. The level in Currymoor is falling slowly but still high. Athelney spillway has stopped running into Saltmoor and Northmoor. We are pumping at Northmoor and Saltmoor and have additional mobile pumps at both stations. Pumping at Currymoor has resumed and will continue whilst river levels allow. Significant rainfall is forecast Wednesday afternoon (18/02/26) and overnight. Thursday is forecast to be dry but further rain is expected Friday and over the weekend. Catchments are saturated and rivers very responsive to rainfall. We are monitoring the situation and checking floodbanks and spillways. Remain aware of local water levels and weather conditions. This message will be updated by 1pm on 19/02/26 or as the situation changes.
