Water levels in Saltmoor and Northmoor remain high today. The Northmoor Main Drain Remote is 3.80 and gradually falling. The level in Currymoor is gradually falling. Athelney spillway is running into Saltmoor and Northmoor.
We are pumping at Northmoor, Saltmoor and Currymoor.
After overnight and morning rainfall, Sunday (22/02/2026), the rain will ease in Somerset for the rest of the day. Monday starts mostly dry, before a new weather system brings periods of rain, but not forecast to bring high totals. Tuesday and Wednesday is expected to bring drier conditions.
Catchments are saturated and rivers remain very responsive to rainfall. We are monitoring the situation and checking floodbanks and spillways. Remain aware of local water levels and weather conditions. This message will be updated by 1pm on 23/02/26 or as the situation changes.
