Flooding expected. Take action now.
Water levels in Saltmoor and Northmoor remain stable today. The Northmoor Main Drain Remote is 3.7 and has fallen. The level in Currymoor is gradually falling. Athelney spillway has just stopped running into Saltmoor and Northmoor, however standing water may remain. We are pumping at Northmoor, Saltmoor and Currymoor.
Rainfall in Somerset will be light and patchy, arriving from the southwest today and continuing as occasional drizzle overnight and into Tuesday, mainly in western areas. By Wednesday, conditions look mostly dry with little to no rain expected
Catchments are saturated and rivers very responsive to rainfall. We are monitoring the situation and checking floodbanks and spillways. Remain aware of local water levels and weather conditions. This message will be updated by 1pm on 24/02/26 or as the situation changes.
