Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

Property flooding is expected. River levels are rising on the Bloxham Brook as a result of heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of property and roads is expected imminently 23/09/2024. Areas most at risk are properties on the roads backing onto the Brook in Bloxham, including Brookside Way, Aurelia Terrace and Greenhills Park. The Sor Brook is also rising, and properties close to the confluence in Adderbury, including those on Dog Close are also at risk.

Further heavy rainfall is forecast through this evening, easing overnight. We expect river levels to continue to rise over the coming 1-2 hours before stabilising overnight and dropping by morning.
Our staff are checking and clearing trash screens.

We are closely monitoring the situation. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated by tomorrow morning, 24/09/2024, or as the situation changes.
