Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

Property flooding remains possible. River levels have now dropped on the Sor and Bloxham Brooks following rainfall from Storm Bert. Further rainfall tonight may bring levels back up to the flood risk threshold and therefore this warning will remain in force overnight. Flooding of property, land and roads is possible overnight 26/11/2024. Areas at risk are those closest to the Sor Brook in Bodicote, and on Dog Close in Adderbury.
The forecast is for further rainfall tonight (26/11/2024) into tomorrow. Levels are expected to continue to fall this evening, but are likely to respond again to tonight's rainfall. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Have a bag ready with vital items like medicines and insurance documents. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 27/11/24, or earlier as the situation changes.
