Flood warning

Property flooding is expected. River levels are high but now falling on the Sor Brook, and levels have fallen on the Bloxham Brook following yesterday's heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of property and roads is expected to continue today 24/09/2024. Areas most at risk are properties close to the confluence in Adderbury, including those on Dog Close. The risk to properties close to the Bloxham Brook has reduced.
The forecast is for a predominantly dry day today, 24/09/2024, with heavy showers expected tomorrow. We expect river levels to continue to fall but levels do remain sensitive to early further heavy rainfall.
Our staff are checking and clearing trash screens. We are closely monitoring the situation. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 25/09/2024, or as the situation changes.
