Flood warning

Property flooding is expected. River levels are high but steadily falling on the Sor Brook following rainfall from Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of property, land and roads is expected to continue today 25/11/2024. Areas remaining most at risk are those closest to the Sor Brook in Bodicote, and downstream of the confluence of the Sor Brook and Bloxham Brook in Adderbury. Levels on the Bloxham Brook have now dropped below the flood risk theshold.
The forecast is predominantly dry today with further rainfall forecast from tomorrow night (26/11/2024). Levels are expected to continue to fall through today, but will remain sensitive to further rainfall and may rise again later in the week in response to forecast rainfall. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Have a bag ready with vital items like medicines and insurance documents. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated by this evening, 25/11/24, or earlier as the situation changes.
