Flooding expected. Take action now.
Property flooding is expected. River levels are high but now stable on the Sor Brook, and levels are high but falling on the Bloxham Brook following heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of property and roads is expected to continue today 24/09/2024.
Areas most at risk are properties close to the confluence in Adderbury, including those on Dog Close. The risk to properties close to the Bloxham Brook has reduced.
The forecast is for a predominantly dry day today, 24/09/2024. We expect river levels to remain high through this morning on the Sor Brook before starting to fall into this afternoon. Levels on the Bloxham Brook will continue to fall through today.
Our staff are checking and clearing trash screens. We are closely monitoring the situation. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated by this evening, 24/09/2024, or as the situation changes.
