Water levels in the Monktonmead Brook are now falling. Only a very small amount of rain is expected to affect the Isle of Wight during Monday (06/01/2025) and Tuesday (07/01/2025). This will give the brook a chance to recover. As water levels return to normal, any minor flood impacts should reduce significantly. On Wednesday (08/01/2025), further heavy rain (up to 25mm) is forecast to affect the island. We continue to monitor the river and weather forecast, and will issue further advice if additional rainfall causes a significant rise in water levels.
