Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High river levels on Tuesday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 27 January 2026 from 08:00, as a lot of rain (22mm) fell on Tuesday.
Flooding could affect the railway tracks, upstream of St Johns Station. Flooding of the station buildings or property is possible. Rain is forecast to continue until 09:00 27/01/2026. River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce at St Johns Station by 12:00 27/01/2026. Further showers are forecast this evening (27/01/2026), which may cause another response in river level.
We are closely monitoring the situation and keeping the Monktonmead Brook clear of blockages.
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have . Move vehicles from depots next to the railway line and river.
