Flooding expected. Take action now.
High river levels are expected to cause flooding today.
Flooding is expected on 27 January 2026 , as a lot of rain fell in Storm Chandra (36mm).
Flooding is affecting property at West Dean, near the railway line at the bottom of Rectory Hill. River levels and flood risk will remain high throughout most of the evening. The river levels should begin to fall by early tomorrow morning (28/01/2026). Only a small amount of rain is forecast over the next 48 hours, giving the river a chance to recover.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and keeping the River Dun free of reported blockages.
Activate any flood protection products you may have and move cars parked at Rectory Hill.
