Flooding expected. Take action now.
Water levels in the River Dun are high and continuing to rise rapidly. Heavy rain has fallen with 33 mm recorded in the last 18 hours at Romsey. In the next 1 to 2 hours, property at West Dean near the railway line at the bottom of Rectory Hill could experience flooding. Further heavy rain associated with Storm Dennis is expected over the next 8 hours. The river will rise until approximately 01:00 tomorrow morning (Monday 17/02/20). The forecast improves over this next week becoming drier but remaining unsettled. Our operations staff are keeping the river free of blockages. Please take appropriate action to protect property and move parked cars at Rectory Hill. This Flood Warning will be updated at 16:00 on 17/02/20
