Flooding expected. Take action now.
Water levels in the River Dun remain very high but they are now falling. 40mm of rain has fallen in the last 24 hours in Romsey, which is more than half a month’s rainfall. Currently, there is out of bank flooding affecting land and roads in West Dean, including Rectory Hill. The river may also have caused flooding to property in West Dean. Heavy rain has now cleared the area, but the river will remain very high over the next 12 hours. On Monday 17/02/2020, only small amounts of rain are forecast, but the river will remain responsive and so an increase in water level is expected tomorrow. We continue to monitor the forecast. If you have installed flood protection, please leave it in place over the next 12 hours. We recommend that cars do not park at Rectory Hill overnight. This message will be updated by 12:00 on 17 February 2020.
