Flood alert

Rising river levels this evening may lead to flooding. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Lim, River Char, River Winniford, Simene River, River Brit, River Asker, River Mangerton, River Bride the Rivers Lim, Char, Winniford, Simene, Brit, Asker, Mangerton and Bride. Properties at Church Street, Burton Bradstock may need to prepare their pumps with continuing rainfall and rising river levels. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers. Further rainfall is forecast throughout this evening that may see river levels rise. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 4:00PM on 10 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
