The River Arun is high, but now slowly falling, near Pulborough, following Thursday's rain. Flood water will continue to affect fields, roads and gardens at Pallingham Lock. Nearer Broadbridge Heath, river levels have already fallen significantly and returned nearer to normal. Very little rain is forecast for the next five days. The river should continue to fall Saturday. Near Pallingham Quay, minor flood impacts could remain through to next week. The river might not return nearer to normal near Pulborough until the middle of January, or later if rain occurs later in the month. Please remain prepared, with flood protection products close by, if you have them. Our automatic sluice at Wanford is open as far as possible to help reduce the risk of flooding. We will re issue this Flood Warning if the risk of new instances of property flooding increases.
