Water levels in the River Arun are falling today (23/12/2019) but remain higher than average, following nearly a month’s rainfall over the past week. A Flood Alert remains in force today for the Upper Arun because minor impacts may still be present between Newbridge (near Billingshurst) and Pallingham. Further rain is expected Tuesday (24/12/2019) and Thursday (26/12/2019) and so river levels may rise again. We will reissue a Flood Warning for this location if the river level rises and the risk of flooding to property becomes expected. Please take care around flood water and avoid driving through it.
