Warning no longer in force

River levels through Buxted have peaked and are falling, following Monday morning's heavy rain. Residual flood impacts might remain in fields, gardens and on rural roads, but with only isolated showers forecast Monday (09/08/21) and Tuesday(10/08/21), the River Uck should continue to fall overnight, and a normal water level should have returned by Tuesday morning. As a precaution, please keep flood resilience measures in place Monday and Tuesday while river levels remain high. At the moment, the weather forecast predicts the end of the week should also remain dry. We will continue to monitor the levels and forecast. We will re-issue this warning if the risk of flooding returns.
