Warning no longer in force

River levels in Buxted have now fallen from their peak. Minor flood impacts affecting fields, rural roads, gardens and riverside properties through Buxted, near the White Hart pub and areas around Hempstead Mill on Hempstead Lane, Uckfield should ease by Thursday evening. The next three days are currently predicted to remain dry. The River Uck should return nearer to normal by Thursday evening. However, it is suggested that unsettled weather could return next week, please remain prepared for the risk of flooding to increase again after the weekend. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. We will re-issue this message if the risk of flooding increases again.
