The Western Rother is high at Fittleworth, but now falling following Friday's rain. Through Saturday, flood water will continue to be very close to Fittleworth Mill. Only isolated showers are forecast this weekend. River levels are unlikely to rise in Fittleworth, and should continue to fall. Unsettled weather could continue throughout February. On Tuesday and Wednesday bands of rain are forecast. If as much rain falls as predicted, from Wednesday evening, flooding could again be possible in Fittleworth. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have in Fittleworth. This message will be updated by 20:00 08/02/2026.
