High river levels are expected to cause flooding on Friday.
Flooding is expected on 20 February 2026 from 03:00, as a lot of rain (30mm) fell on Wednesday.
Flooding will affect fields, extensively. Flood water will be very close to affecting the inside of Fittleworth Mill, and will be close to nearby properties in Fittleworth too. Similar to, or perhaps a little higher than 06/02/2026. The B2138 Lower Street road over the river at Fittleworth could be affected by flood water. Only isolated showers are forecast Friday afternoon and Saturday evening. River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce in Fittleworth by 10:00 20/02/2026. Flood impacts should ease by Friday evening, but river levels will remain higher than normal over the weekend.

Don't put yourself or others at risk Avoid roads that flood, including the B2138 through Fittleworth.
