Flood warning

The Western Rother is high at Fittleworth. Flood water will continue to be close to Fittleworth Mill. On Wednesday evening a band of rain is forecast. There remains uncertainty in amounts and location. River levels are most likely to remain fairly stable and not rise significantly. If less rain falls than expected, river levels could fall. More rain is forecast Friday and Sunday. Minor flood impacts could again affect isolated mill properties at Fittleworth this weekend or next week. Unsettled weather could continue throughout February. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have in Fittleworth. This message will be updated by 20:00 12/02/2026.
