Flood warning

The Western Rother is high at Fittleworth, but falling following Friday's rain. Through Sunday, flood water will continue to be close to Fittleworth Mill. Only isolated showers are forecast Sunday. River levels are unlikely to rise in Fittleworth, and should continue to fall. Unsettled weather could continue throughout February. On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday bands of rain are forecast. If as much rain falls as predicted, from Tuesday evening, flooding could again be possible in Fittleworth. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have in Fittleworth. This message will be updated by 20:00 09/02/2026.
