Flooding expected. Take action now.
The Aldingbourne Rife is high, but now slowly falling. Flooding will continue to be near to properties on Durban Road, Bersted, and affect fields near Shripney Lane, parts of the Tesco car park and caravans at Riverside Caravan Centre on Shripney Road. Throughout today occasionally heavy scattered showers will pass through which could result in 10-20mm of rain. Further showers are forecast for Wednesday. This is expected to cause the Aldingbourne Rife to rise a few centimetres, but flood impacts are not expected to increase significantly. Flood impacts could remain in Bersted until next weekend (10/03/2024). The Aldingbourne Rife might not return nearer to normal until April. Please plan to avoid driving through routes vulnerable to flooding. We are running our pumps at Felpham and keeping grilles clear to help reduce the flood risk. We will update this message by 12:00 06/03/2024.
