The Aldingbourne Rife is high, but now falling again after Tuesday's rain. No rain is forecast for Thursday (14/03/2024). River levels will continue to fall, but flooding will continue to affect fields near Shripney Lane, parts of the Tesco car park and caravans at Riverside Caravan Centre on Shripney Road. Scattered showers forecast for Friday (15/03/2024) could raise river levels by about 5cm, but should not increase flood risk significantly. More persistent rain Saturday afternoon and evening (16/03/2024), could increase river levels again. Flood impacts could remain in Bersted until 20/03/2024. The Aldingbourne Rife might not return nearer to normal until April. Please plan to avoid driving through routes vulnerable to flooding. We are running our pumps at Felpham and keeping grilles clear to help reduce the flood risk. We will reissue this Flood Warning if the risk of new instances of property flooding increases.
