Flood alert

The River Adur is higher than normal, but now falling following Friday's rain. A small amount of rain Saturday morning may cause a small and brief river rise. Minor flood impacts will continue to affect fields, roads, and gardens. Only isolated showers are forecast Saturday afternoon and for the remainder of this weekend. River levels should mostly continue to fall. Unsettled weather could continue throughout February. On Tuesday and Wednesday bands of rain are forecast. If as much rain falls as predicted, from Tuesday evening, minor flooding could again affect fields, roads, and possibly gardens of isolated properties between Coolham and Henfield. Avoid roads that flood, including Slaughter Bridge, Coolham Road. This message will be updated by 20:00 08/02/2026.
