Flood alert

Persistent rain will continue until 17:00 15/02/2026. Only a small river rise is currently expected. Flood impacts should remain minor, only affecting fields and rural roads between Coolham and Henfield. River levels should peak, and begin to fall by 02:00 16/02/2026. Only isolated showers are forecast Monday and Tuesday, which should allow river levels to fall nearer to a normal level in all communities. However widespread rain is forecast for Wednesday. Flood risk could return Wednesday. Unsettled weather could continue throughout February. Avoid roads that flood, including Slaughter Bridge, Coolham Road. This message will be updated by 20:00 16/02/2026.
