Flood alert

High river levels on Wednesday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 18 February 2026 as 10 to 20mm of rain is forecast on Wednesday to Thursday.
There is uncertainty in the forecast. The most likely scenario is for 10mm of rain, which is a small amount. From 8:00PM on 18/02/2026, minor flooding could affect fields and rural roads between Coolham and Henfield. If the less likely scenario occurs, with more rain falling, isolated property flooding could be possible at Slaughter Bridge, and minor flood impacts may affect gardens in Shipley. River levels should peak by Thursday afternoon (19/02/2026), and continue to slowly fall on Thursday evening and through the weekend.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Don't put yourself or others at risk . Avoid roads that flood, including Slaughter Bridge and Coolham Road.
