Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

High river levels on Wednesday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 18 February 2026 as 10 to 20mm of rain is forecast on Wednesday to Thursday.
There is uncertainty in the forecast. The most likely scenario is for 10mm of rain, a small amount. From 22:00 18/02/2026 minor flooding could affect fields, rural roads, and possibly gardens of Tanbridge Park, Blackbridge Court in Horsham and mill properties near Broadbridge Heath. From 06:00 19/02/2026 minor flooding could affect gardens near Pallingham Lock. If the less likely scenario occurs, with more rain, isolated property flooding is possible. River levels should peak by Thursday morning (Horsham) or Thursday evening (Pallingham Lock), and slowly fall on Friday and through the weekend.
We are closely monitoring the situation . Our automatic sluice at Provender Mill is operating to reduce flood risk.
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have . Install flood protection products in Wanford, if you have them.
